The hCaptcha field helps protect your forms from spam and automated submissions while focusing on user privacy. This article explains where to find the hCaptcha field in IvyForms and how to configure its available settings.
You can use only one security field per form. After you add one security field (reCAPTCHA, Turnstile, or hCaptcha), the other security field options become disabled in the builder.
The hCaptcha field is available in the Security fields section of the IvyForms builder. When you expand this category, hCaptcha appears as an option for adding verification to your form. Click it to add the field, then select it in the preview to configure its settings.

hCaptcha is configured through your global security settings. As a result, the hCaptcha field itself includes only basic configuration options inside the form builder, accessible by clicking the field in the preview.
The General tab provides a single styling-related option. This allows you to attach custom CSS classes to the hCaptcha field so it aligns visually with the rest of your form.
The hCaptcha field does not include Advanced settings. All verification behavior is managed through the global security settings.
The Smart logic option lets you control when the hCaptcha field is displayed based on other inputs in your form. This can be useful if you want to require additional verification only under certain conditions.
Once enabled, the Conditional match setting determines how the rules are evaluated:
This makes it possible to apply hCaptcha selectively, although in most cases it is added to every form to ensure reliable protection against spam.
