How can I view and manage a single entry

ON THIS PAGE

Each form submission in IvyForms is stored as an individual entry. When you open a single entry, you can review all submitted field values, check system metadata, and perform basic management actions without returning to the entries list.

How do I open a single entry?

You can open the detailed view of a specific entry in two ways:

  • Click the entry ID in the entries table.
  • Open the three-dots menu for an entry and select Preview.

Both actions open the same detailed entry view.

What information is shown in the entry details view?

The entry details view is split into two main sections, making it easy to review submitted data and entry metadata side by side.

  • Submitted data – displayed on the left side, showing all form fields and the values entered by the user.
  • General details – displayed on the right side, showing metadata related to the entry.

What details are included in the General details panel?

The General details panel contains system-generated information that helps you understand when, how, and from where the entry was submitted.

  • Entry ID – the unique identifier for the submission.
  • User IP – the IP address from which the form was submitted.
  • Source URL – the page URL where the form was filled out.
  • Browser – the browser used to submit the form.
  • User – the WordPress user associated with the submission, if available.
  • Status – indicates whether the entry is marked as read or unread.
  • Submitted on – the date when the entry was created.

How does the “Show empty fields” option work?

At the top of the entry details view, you can enable the Show empty fields option. When enabled, IvyForms displays all form fields, including those that were left empty by the user.

When disabled, only fields with submitted values are shown. This can make reviewing longer forms faster by hiding unused fields.

What actions can I perform on a single entry?

The entry details view includes basic actions that let you manage the entry directly.

  • Navigate between entries – use the arrows to move to the previous or next entry in the list.
  • Mark as read or unread – toggle the entry’s status to help track reviewed submissions.
  • The three-dots menu next to General details → Delete – permanently removes the entry after confirmation.

Deleting an entry cannot be undone, so make sure the submission is no longer needed before confirming.

The single entry view is designed for reviewing individual submissions in detail. From here, you can inspect user input, check submission context, and manage the entry before returning to the full entries list.
