IvyForms Usage Data & Privacy
IvyForms includes an optional usage tracking feature that, when enabled, sends a small set of anonymized, non-personal data to our team. This helps us understand how people build and style forms with IvyForms – so we can improve templates, prioritize the most-used fields, and make the plugin work better for everyone.
This page explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can turn it off at any time.
Your privacy comes first
We take your privacy seriously. Here is what you can always count on:
- Usage tracking is optional. You can opt in or out at any time from IvyForms → Settings → Improve IvyForms
- No personal data is ever collected. We never access your name, email address, form submissions, user responses, or any content entered into your forms.
- All data is anonymized and aggregated. It is never linked back to your individual site.
- Data is transmitted securely over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- We do not sell or share this data with third parties.
What we collect
When usage tracking is enabled, IvyForms periodically sends the following data. Nothing more than what’s listed below.
Plugin & environment
Basic technical information about the environment IvyForms is running in. This helps us ensure compatibility across the most common hosting and WordPress setups.

License & activation
High-level information about your license plan. This helps us understand how different types of users work with IvyForms and whether license-related features are functioning correctly.

Feature usage
Aggregate information about which IvyForms features and integrations are in use. No form submissions, user responses, or business content of any kind is included.

IvyForms-specific usage
Aggregate details about how you build and style your forms. No form content, labels, submissions, or personal details are included – only counts and configuration choices.

| Theme used | Shows which built-in style themes are most popular, helping us improve defaults and invest in the right visual directions. |
Performance & health
Anonymized, aggregate signals about plugin stability. This helps us detect widespread issues early, before they are widely reported.

| Fatal error count | An anonymized count of critical errors logged by IvyForms. No error details, stack traces, or personal data are included. |
| Database record counts | Rough totals of records (e.g. number of forms, active vs inactive) to help us understand scale and optimize performance. |
| Deactivation reason | If you deactivate IvyForms and optionally select a reason, that selection is recorded to help us understand and address common pain points. |
How to opt out
Usage tracking is opt-in and can be disabled at any time:
- Go to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Navigate to IvyForms → General Settings.
- Find the Improve IvyForms section and toggle it off.
Once disabled, no further data will be sent. You can re-enable it at any time using the same steps.
